Daughter of Pontigny, founded in 1133 in a remote valley of Tonnerrois, the abbey has kept all its authenticity. The hostellerie, part of the cloistered buildings of the 12th and 15th centuries, the Renaissance abbey house, testify to the sobriety and rigour of Cistercian art.
