Description

Surrounded by a moat, in a beautiful park, it is one of the most beautiful Renaissance houses in Burgundy. Built in the 16th and 17th centuries, it belonged to the Coligny family and was, at the time of the Wars of Religion, an important meeting place for Huguenot leaders. Particelli d 'Hemery, superintendent of finance close to Cardinal de Mazarin, completed the Coligny's work by creating the current beautiful ensemble, assisted by the famous architect Le Muet. Property of the Marquis de Tanlay's family from 1705 to the present day, it completed the very rich interior decoration. The trompe-l'oeil room and the tower of the League, with its surprising frescoes, are particularly interesting.
