During the school holidays, the museum organizes workshops that allow children and teenagers to better understand the works of the museum. Artistic practice (modelling, drawing photography, theatre) follows a look at one or more works and enriches the understanding of the collection and temporary exhibition of the moment.
The lion – modelling and archaeology
Wednesday 21 October from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm. Children observe the lions depicted on archaeological remains, then that of the sculpture Eve and the lion by Bernhard Hoetger. In the workshop, they then model a simplified form of the feline. What will the hair on his mane look like?
Unlikely Poses – Drawing and Watercolor
Thursday 22 October from 2.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. After contemplating the drawings of Bernhard Hoetger and Auguste Rodin, the budding artists alternately imagine poses that they hold for several minutes... or a few seconds, while others draw them by observing them... or from memory. Each then chooses a drawing to use in watercolor.
A ghost at the museum – modeling
Wednesday 28 October from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm. There is an extraordinary wind in this haunted museum! The children discover carvings in the exhibition, then model a ghost that has a hard time moving forward. Her drape is caught in a whirlwind!
Workshops for young audiences reserved for children.
The accompanying adult may, during the workshop, participate in a guided tour.
