1926: The Savoy Ballroom opens in Harlem. It provides African-American dancers with a spacious, beautiful and free access place. 2 jazz orchestras will take turns each night . The Lindy- Hop will thus move from shadows to
light . It evolved over the next 25 years to finally give way to rock and roll.
A couple's dance with endless African-style movements, its "bounce"
