Description
This tour will take you to the heart of the famous Chablis vineyard to discover the wine-growing hillsides of Collan and Fleys. Beautiful views of the vineyards will offer you. A great hike for amateur oenologists!
1. Back to the washhouse, turn left and follow rue de Vaucreuse. Go to rue de Chablis then turn left. Take Rue de Rameau on your left and then follow the path on the right. Keep going straight and then go under the power lines.
2. You leave the grassy path to take one that starts on your left in the direction of a grove (the GR continues straight ahead – red and white markings). Your path is on the edge of the woods and then leads to a meadow. You see a tarmac road at the bottom. At its level, you take it starting on your left, going down. You arrive at the hamlet of Rameau. The first buildings are on your right. You pass them and immediately turn to your right. You pass the washhouse on the right and you plunge into a narrow path that enters the woods following a ru.
3. At the bottom of this farm road, do not take the asphalt road but another road that starts on your right and runs along the vineyard on its lower part. Continue this way by staying on the slope, parallel to the vines, located on your right.
4. At this level, you leave the track starting on the left and quickly join a paved road. When you reach its height, you take it with caution and leave on the left. You continue on this road until the junction with a path that jumps into the vineyards on the right. A few meters further, turn left and then right. You arrive at the edge of the forest, turn right and take a wide, stony track. You continue on this trail that runs along the upper part of the vineyard. Below you can see the village of Fleys. Ignore the farm paths that go down into the vineyards.
5. Continue on the winding track as you ascend. It joins a stony path that you take starting on the left. You arrive on a paved road Take it on the left. You leave the road to take the first grassy path that goes down on your left, towards an undergrowth. You alternate undergrowth and peerage then you leave the forest. The stony track runs along hillsides planted with vines on your right. You continue on this track downhill.
6. You come to a paved road. At its height, you take a track that starts on the right by climbing through the vineyards. Continue straight ahead and go under the power lines. Stay with the fork in front of you. Continue on the track that goes straight ahead, ignoring the paths on either side.
7. Your trail reaches a tarmac road. You take it from the right. You return to the village of Collan. Walk past the church and back to the washhouse.
