Sur les traces du PLM

This tour will take you to the Renaissance castle of Nuits sur Armançon and the castle of Rochefort, located on the border of the Kingdom of France and the Duchy of Burgundy. This itinerary will also allow you to immerse yourself in the history of the railway junction of Nuits sur Armançon (late 19th - early 20th century).

1. Back to the station, go to your left. When you arrive at the stop, turn right and take Rue des Ecoles. You arrive at the main street (Rue du Maréchal Leclerc). You cross it with caution to take the rue du Moulin opposite, which soon turns right to join the quays of the Armançon. You see a bridge that you will cross on the left. You continue straight on this street. Leaving the village, you take a paved road lined with plants. You continue on the pedestrian path on the left. 2. Turn right before the bridge along the Canal. When you reach the next bridge, turn left. Ignore the first road on the right and take the next path on your right. Keep going straight and ignore the paths from anywhere. 3. You arrive on the D228. Turn left then at the Arlot lock, turn left on the towpath. You arrive at a lock (No.73) then turn right to reach the centre of the village. Over the bridge, turn left to the church and then right to reach the Grande Rue. Continue straight on this one to join the D905. Cross it (cautiously!). Keep going straight on the path opposite. 4. Turn right and continue straight at the next crossing. At the next intersection, turn left. 5. At this point, turn right and join a field along the woods. Join the D115, cross it and then take the path opposite. Take the next path on your left and continue on this one. When exiting the forest, ignore the left and right paths and continue straight ahead. Pass under the railway bridge and take the first right to reach the station.
